Weekend Contest: Scary Things

19

Michael Vorberg won last weekend's contest with his image Forest Scene. His choice for this weekend: Scary Things (just in time for Halloween!)
Michael writes:

I will keep the theme connected to the time of the year. Halloween is coming, but to make it a bit more open I choose “scary things“.

Everybody gets scared by something: spiders, syringes, blood, ghosts, darkness, loneliness, ...

So, take a closer look inside you and defeat your inner ghosts

Greetings, Michael

I have a LONG history with Blender - I wrote some of the earliest Blender tutorials, worked for Not a Number and helped run the crowdfunding campaign that open sourced Blender (the first one on the internet!). I founded BlenderNation in 2006 and have been editing it every single day since then ;-) I also run the Blender Artists forum and I'm Head of Community at Sketchfab.

  1. "EBOLA Virus" If you have (or haven't) been paying attention to the news you probably have heard about the scary ebola virus. It has a 70% mortality rate and has killed over 10,000 people. Rendered in 4K! Freestyle and compositor used.

  2. Better update: "EBOLA Virus" Rendered in 4k and with freestyle. Changed the background color to match the ebola virus.

  3. Well, here I leave my blender pumpkins. Could not miss a few pumpkins in this contest. It was a very fast modeling work and a fight with the composition.
    Hope you like it!

    This is an adicction....

    Hey all,
I didn't have much time this weekend, so this is more of a "rough sketch" or a WIP.
When I originally saw Star Wars Episode III, I thought this was easily one of the most scary-looking villains of the saga, with his skeletal structure, raspy voice, and grotesque eyes.
    Enjoy!
