Blender 2.72 has been released and with it, brought a whole host of new features, improvements and bug fixes!
New Features
From the release notes, Cycles is now capable of rendering volume and subsurface scattering on GPU, has improved control over caustics and Freestyle can now be used with Cycles. The long awaited Pie Menus is now available as an add-on. There is a new intersect tool, which is a bit like the boolean tool, but doesn’t calculate interior/exterior faces.
There have been several improvements to the texture painting work flow, including texture slots and sixteen new blend modes. Select by type and a new sun beams node has been added to the compositor. Game development now has a few new or improved actuators and there are several new add-ons, including improvements and bug fixes to the FBX import/export add-on.

Another useful video from Gottfried to quickly learn what's new - in one go. Very convenient, watching it even when I know some of the new features, just to be SURE that I haven't miss something. Thanks, man!
