I have a LONG history with Blender - I wrote some of the earliest Blender tutorials, worked for Not a Number and helped run the crowdfunding campaign that open sourced Blender (the first one on the internet!). I founded BlenderNation in 2006 and have been editing it every single day since then ;-) I also run the Blender Artists forum and I'm Head of Community at Sketchfab.

What I am wondering is if this has any current tie ins to the current Boolean tools. If not and it manages to be faster, I'm wondering if it can be used to make a more efficient bool tool. If so, that would be massively beneficial.

  2. Sculpting holes looks great. That said, at no point did they ever sculpt an actual hole, where they went straight through the object. Instead they eroded the edge, which is great but I hope the tool has the ability to sculpt actuall holes... Then we just need a way to fill them.

  3. This makes me want to see that "interactive quad-dominant remesh" idea that was proposed a while back. It's neat, but seems kinda not-very-useful-yet without a new remesher to clean up the results. I think it was lined up for GSoC, but I don't think it's been able to come into fruition yet.
