Nachoc's flying machine captures the spirit of the airplane pioneers. And he received the most votes by far this week in our Airborne weekend contest.
"All done in Blender (Cycles), except the brave test riders of the machine, that come from Makehuman, and have been finished in Blender. For most of the apparatus, I used the Wireframe modifier."
Congratulations Nachoc! Please email me at bart @ this site so we can discuss next weekend's theme and so I can help you claim your prize!
Read on for the other entries.
Joas - "Flipper"
Andre Strydom - "Coffee Cream Cruiser"
Frémo - "Cartoon Blender Streetbird"
Great work everyone, see you next weekend!

Note to myself: the earlier you submit your entry the more votes you get.
Well, the first few to be posted didn't get more votes because they were first, but they did get more than my whopping 0 votes. Not saying mine was great, or even good, but....yeah, you see where I'm going with this.
Guess I'll just have to improve drastically before submitting anything else. Bit of a shot to the old ego.
Actually, I think that by entering you can get feedback and compare your work with others to see what makes a winner. So I always enter when I can!
Al I can say about the winner is WOW! Excelant job.
Nice entries. Congrats, Nachoc. And hey, Andre, I want to drink that cruiser! lol
A worthy winner! Congratulations! :)
Congrats! Glad to see the weekend contests have made a return :)
worthy winner
to the early summit discus:
jeah they have a little advantage over the lateposte
but if you want a more even playingfield there would be more work for the host implied
at least there must be a programmed plugin to save the images and make a News at the end of the summit phase for the voting
A lot of thanks to all. :)
What I love about this contest is the freedom topics offered and there is a very short term to do it. In this case, modeling took me about 3 hours in total. The use of modifiers, made faster modeling. The materials not more than 1 hour. The render, it took my old imac another hour. And finally, for the composition I needed another hour. Ah !! I forgot !! Pilots are made quickly in Makehuman, and then reviewed in blender. Helmets and materials were also added in blender.
On the operation of the contest, I think the most important thing is to respect the NEW creation of new scenes. That is, I do not see well that some people use work already carried out (previously) for this contest. But this is a matter of honesty.
