3

Create gorgeous volumetrics clouds with this new Blender Guru tutorial.

Andrew Price writes:

Clouds are a tricky thing to replicate in CG. But since Cycles has supported volumetrics, I've wanted to try.

So I spent the last 2 weeks working to create a convincing scene.

And in this tutorial I show you how to make the scene from start to finish. Enjoy! :)

  1. Holy clouds!! With cycles, Blender reached the next level on atmospheric effects. Beside Blender, I use Vue. And I use it just because Blender, until now, wasn't capable of create this gorgeous clouds. Blender are becoming more and more a complete 3d software.

  2. Looks nice, but i wonder the cycle smoke sim, + wind force...can you use that to get a similar result ?.

Its not your first cloud so maybe its a challenge for your next cloud.
