Free Cycles Workshop in Catalonia, September 19

4

Andreu Cabré is hosting a free Cycles workshop during the Software Freedom Day in Palma de Cervelló, near Barcelona.

I am hosting a workshop on Cycles this coming Friday, September 19th, in Palma de Cervelló, a small town near Barcelona, Catalonia. This workshop is part of an Open Source Day organized by Konfraria, a local open source advocate group.

The workshop is intended for beginners and intermediate users of Blender. I will be covering the basics of material creation, nodal workflow, the main shaders and nodes, and at the end will be showing how to create some recurrent materials—but also some of the most useful ones. The workshop will be taught in Catalan, and it will go from 4PM to 6PM. Attendees are encouraged to stay for dinner afterwards. I hope some of you can make it!

I have a LONG history with Blender - I wrote some of the earliest Blender tutorials, worked for Not a Number and helped run the crowdfunding campaign that open sourced Blender (the first one on the internet!). I founded BlenderNation in 2006 and have been editing it every single day since then ;-) I also run the Blender Artists forum and I'm Head of Community at Sketchfab.
