Hello Bart,

I write with exciting news. I have released a free video on Gumroad to establish and push Blender's presence in the professional arena.

You can choose to donate 0 to download it but also.... a new timelapse!

This is the middle of my robot year study and I am also sharing a timelapse on my progress to this point.

I have until Dec 25th to become RobotMaster so I have much more time to push techniques to the next level.

And finally. My sketchbook.

  1. Hm good thing to show the retopo, for the figure,
It looks a bit more like Unreal game alien to me but perhaps thats just me.

I think i'd stay with the common key things, they are metalic (rusty?) / plastic, not realy a need for clothing
And somewhere some wires. Maybe eyes with red light in it. Those things are in a sense just folk imagination and so if you stay close to the commmon concepts its easier to tune into it.
And for the cute factor, old robots are better images, its a better story to tell then new ones.
Just like new race cars, vs old race cars full of a forgotten glorry.

It reminds me, without a bible hell / devel etc lots of church decoration (and hardrock LP's / tatoo's) would look different. For artists the bible (and greek mythology) where always famous to offer handles of imagination. Bible for devils and the greeks for the nudity in times when it was not easy for artists to draw that. So with respect to 'key things' / 'common handles' lots of cult art is created.
