Skyrim - The Aftermath

6

A very cool Skyrim fan film from two German students. Don't forget to turn on English subtitles!

Hey guys!I want to present you our first short located in the world of the videogame Skyrim. The vfx was completely done in Blender! (Except the credits which were done in Cinema 4D)

We are two apprentices for film-and 3D design in Germany and we made this short as our thesis. Our film begins right after the main story of Skyrim. Dovahkiin returns to Whiterun after his victory over Alduin. However is the peace in the land really secured?

This is the first part of a two part series. (planned total length: 45 min). We tried to create a mix of real film and game look so that Skyrim fans think: Yea that feels a bit like in the game. But watch the short and forming your own opinion and tell us in the comments on YouTube! :)

We hope you like it!

This is a tribute from fans for fans and is not associated with Bethesda Softworks LLC.

  1. So incredibly good! I can't believe how good it is! The only problem I saw, and this has nothing to do with Blender, was in the lore. I noticed it because I'm a total lore buff when it comes to the Elder Scrolls. Technically, to my knowledge, there are no forsworn in the hold of Whiterun. Doesn't mean they didn't move into the south-western edge of it from Markarth, all they have to do is basically cross a river to get to it. It might make a good story plot for the second part if it is discovered they have moved into the south-western edge of the hold of Whiterun. I love all of the special effects through out it! Keep up the good work! :)

  2. Not a Skyrim player, but I love the trailers! This, also, is especialy good. Dialougue is even good in English! By best friend is a total skyrim buff, he'll definitely watch this!

  3. Brendon Leenheer on

wow... just wow... I'd love to see a VFX breakdown! Some I could tell right away was CG, but even the detailing that went into the RL elements was incredible! You blurred the lines between the two extremely well. I'm curious how you worked the scenes and things out, did you import the models from the game and enhance them or something? or was it all hand-made based on In-game references?
All-in-all, Excellent work! I'd love to see more!
