I have a LONG history with Blender - I wrote some of the earliest Blender tutorials, worked for Not a Number and helped run the crowdfunding campaign that open sourced Blender (the first one on the internet!). I founded BlenderNation in 2006 and have been editing it every single day since then ;-) I also run the Blender Artists forum and I'm Head of Community at Sketchfab.

Was amusing to listen to. I remember my first blender conference a lot of years ago where I met Andy. He's a really nice guy to talk with. It was after that when Andy became more famous on Elysiun back then ( now blender artists ) We had chats on a room with a huge screen running Ubuntu and showing some Blender modeling skills. Dinner at a chinese restaurant close to 'De Waag' and a Mojito at a cafe next to it.
Man I miss those blender conferences, I didn't went to them for about 5 years I think, but it itches to join it again :P

However I must agree with a lot what Andy talks about. When getting mental blocked when doing stuff, just get bored, walk the dog, do something you don't need to think about. And also Andy is this kind of guy ( he said himself ) he isn't getting super awesome at 1 thing, but he's getting good on a lot of things. A diverse person doing arts, and that's what he has been showing all those years and even more with he last stop motion movie. I must disagree with the fact that companies want people to be good at 1 thing. I'm also such a guy which can't do 1 thing very well, but I'm diverse. These kind of people are also a lot wanted, because they create bridges between proffesions and can get there hands dirty with anything. If someone is sick, you jump in, if there is a project with different proffesions to be usedm you're the person connecting all those guys and also help.

A bit of a long interview, but amusing and worth listen to while working ;)

Maybe I join blender conference 2014, I must, I want to meet these guys again and have a chat... Ton... Andy... whoever is still there from back then. ^_^
