Weekend Contest Winner: Nightmarish Dreamscapes

4

This weekend's contest was an hommage to H.R. Giger's amazing artwork, and I think you'll agree with me that the entries are in the spirit of his work.

Winner was Onnevan with his creepy alien skin growing over a woman (or a woman ripping off some kind of bio-alien skin, I can't tell) - this one would fit right in Alien. Congratulations Onnevan! You’ll also get to pick the topic for next weekend contest! Please email me at bart @ this site and let me know your choice.

Andre Strydom's entry gets an honorable mention - his entry actually had the most votes, but I don't think it's fair if you get the topic AND win the contest at the same time ;-)

Thanks for participating everyone! See you next week.

I founded BlenderNation in 2006 and have been editing it every single day since then ;-) I also run the Blender Artists forum and I'm Head of Community at Sketchfab.

  1. yea you nailed that one. its got gieger writtin all over it. from the dark tones, and disturbing subject matter, lol love that guy's work.

  2. Thanks, Bart!! I'm thinking about the topic of the next contest!! and congrats to Andre, he deserved winning too.
I'm not sure if it's an alien, a bio-suit or what, I leave the interpretation for the observer,..could be a good movie if it had a story behind. A humble homage to Giger and R.Scott
