I have a LONG history with Blender - I wrote some of the earliest Blender tutorials, worked for Not a Number and helped run the crowdfunding campaign that open sourced Blender (the first one on the internet!). I founded BlenderNation in 2006 and have been editing it every single day since then ;-) I also run the Blender Artists forum and I'm Head of Community at Sketchfab.

  1. Amazing work, Andrew. Congratulations! There must have taken a tremendous amount of research and developing time to create this feature. Thanks for the great overview presentation. The blender developers could definitely take some tips of how to implement similar features in blender. An asset library that would be easy to browse and use to add/edit objects and materials in the scene in a "Fluid Designer" style should be part of blender (hopefully we won't have to wait until blender 3.0) :)

  2. hopefully s.one integrates the drag and drop functionality into the normal blender - looks really convinient
