It would've been cool if he made a it look like an actual real boom/dolly, fully rigged with the camera art the end. :-)

Nice idea! I like the auto zoom/travelling trick, works very well! Maybe it's missing a simple zoom (with fixed cam) control... But, really nice one!!

Similar to this, you can try the "add camera rigs" addon.
I personally think it's great if you have a classical approach on how to move a camera.

That seems a little more comprehensive, but this one might be slightly easier to use. I've only used Wayne Dixon's though, so I don't have a direct comparison.
Would be cool to have that on the basic camera.
I don't know what to say but some additional features that he could possibly add sometime in the future, is full support for this in the blender game engine.
