We recently completed this project and we thought we might share it with you! :)
The animation for the project is a mix of 2D and 3D with a flat shading to blend the two mediums together.
The illustrations were mostly done in Illustrator, and then animated in After Effects, while Blender was used to create all the 3D elements as well as some 2D animations and camera movements.
Some of the 3D elements were animated and rendered directly inside Blender and then exported as image sequences, while others were exported as .obj and then imported in AE using the Element3D plugin.
