Create Dynamic Architectural Models With the Array Modifier

architectural array house modifier

DennisH2010 shares an interesting application of Blender's array modifier: he has created an 'array house' where you can dynamically change the number of floors.

DennisH2010 writs:

Here is a array house example with start and end cap. You can add more floors by increase the count in the array modifiers.

---BUG WARNING--- Unfortunately you have to apply all the array modifiers bevor you start the blender game engine, otherwise Blender will crash.

I have a LONG history with Blender - I wrote some of the earliest Blender tutorials, worked for Not a Number and helped run the crowdfunding campaign that open sourced Blender (the first one on the internet!). I founded BlenderNation in 2006 and have been editing it every single day since then ;-) I also run the Blender Artists forum and I'm Head of Community at Sketchfab.
