I have a LONG history with Blender - I wrote some of the earliest Blender tutorials, worked for Not a Number and helped run the crowdfunding campaign that open sourced Blender (the first one on the internet!). I founded BlenderNation in 2006 and have been editing it every single day since then ;-) I also run the Blender Artists forum and I'm Head of Community at Sketchfab.

  1. Tavern looks great - love the details! It has a lot of charm. A couple of things that popped out to me. The light through the gate makes It appear the sun is very bright, but on the tavern side it appears to be cloudy as the sky itself is cloudy. (perhaps this is intentional?) The tavern seems to be too close to the wall (at least for my taste) and could possibly be placed on a small mound perhaps with a tree, fence or something between that and the fortress? Maybe push the tavern back a bit too so there's a short walk to the front door? I think with some minor tweaks and additional foliage, fence, or some other objects it could really pop out and bring it to the next level. I like your style and hope to see more of your work here on BN!

  2. Love to duo tone look of it. Orange/teal is overplayed bu tit looks nice here on the sand and white brick. Nice work. Sky in the background could use work though, looks too gray for the light that is shining in.

  3. Something is wrong with the lighting that is directed from the castle. Like two different weathers on one picture...outside is cloudy but inside the castle sunny day.
