Carlos Gonzalez Morcillo writes:
A freegure is a fully handmade unique reproduction of a character of the Free Software/Open Source world. All the freegures are handmade by using polymer clay, which is a plastic modelling compound that is put into the oven until it becomes hard. Thus, each freegure is unique and different from all the others ;-) Besides decorating your desktop, bookcase and/or furniture, a freegure's the ultimate goal consists in contributing to the expansion and the development of Free Software/Open Source. Each time you order a freegure, a percentage of the profits (10%) is destinated to the Free Software Foundation. Suzanne is one of the characters available in the web.
About Freegures:
Freegures is [as far as we can tell]the first craftsmanship shop exclusively focused on modelling characters of the Free Software world.
This initiative, conceived by a pair of Free Software fans and a craftswoman from Ciudad Real (Spain), aims at contributing to the development and promotion of Free Software from a handicraft point of view. From now on, you can decorate your workspace with your favourite freegures.
Please remember that a 10% of the generated earnings are destinated to the Free Software Foundation.
These models take up to two hours to make!
