At SIGGRAPH, the Tube team showed the first trailer of their movie project (which was edited just hours before the Birds of a Feather meeting). They also announced the official title: 'Wires For Empathy'. Here's the official release of the trailer.
Bassam Kurdali writes:
Tube is a name we have gotten attached to, but it was only a provisional title and serves us still as the designation for the project (the way that Elephants Dream is also known as Orange). Wires for Empathy is a more evocative title that hints at the themes of this fairly abstract film. During the weeks running up to Siggraph, the local and remote crews were working hard polishing these (and many more) shots and getting them rendered in time. We hope you enjoy our short trailer!

It looks fantastic!
It looks great! Great graphic, animation and mood; now I'm really curios about the whole thing. Congrats!
The new title sounds appropiately arthousey.
I was really eager to see some of this in motion, and it doesn't disappoint. I hope we get some details about what the film is about soon, too.
Looks oddly like the old Tomb Raider 3, where Lara runs around Aldwych tube station - although the graphics have come on a bit since then :-)
