Are you interested in a free Blender workshop in Milan, or meeting some local Blenderheads? You'll have the chance on July 6th!

Fabio Arrigoni writes:

Hi guys,

just peeking in to let you know about a free Blender Workshop we are organizing near Milan (Italy), in Melzo.

It's one of many interesting events that are part of our International Festival. You can read all on the website.

All the informations on the workshop and the link to subscribe are available here.

There are not many seats available and the workshop will be attended in italian.

In the evening we are going to have an hangout with Francesco Siddi from Boston and we'll project Tears of Steel in digital at 4K in a THX certified theater.

If you like the idea and are around Milan join us!

Thanks!
Fabio

  1. Hi, is on the 6th of July, the website (I'm the webmaster there) is correct.

I asked the BN staff to correct this post.

    Thanks!

  2. Hi,
    In reply to Nazzareno:
The workshop is about environment art in Blender, there will be a short (45 min) general introduction and overview for people who haven't used Blender before, but already focused on using it for env. art .
In the rest of the workshop , i'll go over key aspects of the creation of the TOS Dome, using it as a case study to talk more in general about the rules, issues and techniques i learned about creating and handling the modelling, texturing and shading of large and complex environments, be it for vfx, archiviz, documentaries or games.
There will be no assigments or sample tasks/scenes for attendees , but practical examples and technical details about the dome assets (available on TOS dvds / repos ) and plenty room for questions and discussion.
