I have a LONG history with Blender - I wrote some of the earliest Blender tutorials, worked for Not a Number and helped run the crowdfunding campaign that open sourced Blender (the first one on the internet!). I founded BlenderNation in 2006 and have been editing it every single day since then ;-) I also run the Blender Artists forum and I'm Head of Community at Sketchfab.

  1. Very nice work.
The only two things that look a tad off is the nose and the paw.
I honestly can't say what it is about the paw. (sorry)
As for the nose the transition to fur looks a bit too sharp, and the nose looks very dry.
    Very cute 3D puppy.

    • i know what's wrong with the paw, it seems to be a little twisted.
eiter that ot the claws are on the wrond side...

Otherwise GREAT JOB! on the puppy :D

  2. Wow! That is about the best hair/fur I have seen yet. The eyes capture the mood perfect as well.

@draguu - If you are willing and have the time, I am sure the community would be appreciative to see a tutorial on how you achieved the fur.

  3. Phenomenal render. @Wasa, If I had to say what it is about the paw I would have to say that the pad is too black. A dog's pad usually has brown dirt in the fairly deep cracks. But still, an incredible image. Great work.

  4. i thought it was real hahahaha

that´s the trick, making to think the others that the model is real and i got it

    OUTSTANDING.... cute 3D, congratulations

  5. Very nice work ! Of course !!!! But indeed, I agree, the nose could be better :) In my opinion the nose seems to be pasted in front of the face. A little bit too sharp, I guess. And a little bit too much of a 'plastic' material (the nose reminds me to Toy Story). She should have a more soft appearance. That's a pity, because the rest is superb !!! The eyes are super realistic ! But the nose needs a little bit of work. Good luck and succes ! :-)

  6. As others have pointed out, the nose is a little off. Dogs have a bit more blend with the front of the lips at the base. And the pads are the problem with the feet - a dog's pads are rarely a solid color and have a texture that is somewhat fur-like with grooves like you'd see in the palm of your hand on an older dog because of wear and tear. A pup, like this little guy, is likely to have mostly pink pads (if the feet are clean and not dirty) with just a touch of dark color here and there similar to the coloring patterns of the animal's skin (which doesn't always match the coloring of the fur). Also, properly trimmed nails will have a bit of a flat edge to them, where you can see where they were cut to keep the dog's nails a comfortable length.

  7. Hello, great job. I`m a beginner in Blender and have a couple of questions. How many time you need for this work ? Due to the build of the blender-file had you lot of problems with blender (for example with the build of the mesh or the hairs) ? Thanks for an answering and with best wishes.
