Tips: Getting Into the Industry

Alex Telford has collected some good tips for those of you who are interested into getting themselves a job in the CG Industry.

Alex writes:

Hey guys! My name is Alex Telford and I am a Junior Animation Technical Director at Weta Digital in New Zealand and I have some tips for getting into the industry.

I admit I am not the most experienced artist, nor have I been in the industry for very long but I have been talking to some fellow artists at Weta and have come up with a few tips and I want to share with you some things I wish I was told while I was trying to get into the 3D industry.

I have a LONG history with Blender - I wrote some of the earliest Blender tutorials, worked for Not a Number and helped run the crowdfunding campaign that open sourced Blender (the first one on the internet!).
