A little film as a side project.
I have worked a lot with paper in all sorts of forms and especially graph paper and this was the 3D version i guess.
I work as a contemporary artist and used blender for some of my projects.
This was one of the projects that did not end up as art but a youtube film instead, hope you like it
Here's my website, not particularly blender related.

That is TOTALLY AWESOME!! Makes me want to make something like that. And I will now.
+1 I think the concept and execution is great. Just like elite I gotta try this myself.
Thanks for sharing this!
Really something refreshing and a cool concept indeed. ^_^

Really funny.
This is really cool. Good idea, and good movement. My only critique would be the shadow of the box. To me it seemed a little strong. Besides that, great job. Wish I had thought of this. :P
This reminds me of those little simple magic tricks. It's so simple, but it will stay with me for awhile. :)
you're right about the shadows. It's funny how obvious it is looking at it now.
What is this paper you speak of?
Are the blue lines on the cube done with texture or geometry? Cool idea.
Geometry.
It made it much easier to refine and because I did not want a perfect straight cube. I wanted something that could have been made out of the paper.
if the question is, what else I have made with paper.
I was thinking of projects not related to blender like:
http://jesper-carlsen.com/2010/10/grid-paper-2010/
http://jesper-carlsen.com/2012/12/slightly-bent-perspective-graph-paper-2012/

and a general interest in some of the systems and scales that surrounds us.
Excellent :)
Brilliant, brilliant, brilliant...!!! I must try something like this!!!! Thanks for sharing!!! :D
Really really really well done. The live action seemed a little slow and over acted. I love the concept and the execution was outstanding!
COOOOOOOL!!!!!!!!
