  1. Aw, man! I must've missed the "Call for Content" for this issue. I use Blender in conjunction with my reprap-based printer on an almost daily basis. Finally an issue to which I could've been helpful, and I missed my chance.

    Oh well. If anyone is interested in seeing how a complex model should be scaled, split up, and oriented for FDM printers (like repraps, Makerbots, Ultimakers, Up printers, etc.), you can check out the files in my latest Thingiverse upload. The Blender file has the original model, and the ZIP has the split up STL files oriented for printing.

    Thanks to the folks who've put so much work into BlenderArt over the years. 40 issues is quite an accomplishment!
