Weekend Mini-Contest: Worst Christmas Present Ever

32

Did you ever get one? A Christmas present that was toe-curlingly embarrassing, yet you had to act happy? That not what this contest is about - this weekend, I want to see something that's 1,000 times WORSE... Submit your design and WIN eternal fame!!

+1 your favorite in the comments. The winner will be announced on Monday and will get his work shown in a header on the site later next week.

Have fun :)

Update: due to Christmas, I've extended the deadline to Thursday, December 27th.

I have a LONG history with Blender - I wrote some of the earliest Blender tutorials, worked for Not a Number and helped run the crowdfunding campaign that open sourced Blender (the first one on the internet!). I founded BlenderNation in 2006 and have been editing it every single day since then ;-) I also run the Blender Artists forum and I'm Head of Community at Sketchfab.

  1. You know, someone once actually gave me a cube. . .
I think it was a paper weight or something but anyways, here is an amazing artistic representation of the cube I disposed of long ago re-created in a very laborious process with a complete written tutorial:
    "Open Blender, Click Render"

(I'm not actually entering the contest by the way)

  2. Hi,

it is too bad for +1 or even a header image.
I just tried my new GTX 660 and an idea in this quick render.

In most cases this is the WORST present for a man I think :D

(Sorry for the hand and all the bad things in this picture. Originally the image is really cool in my head: He looks shocked at the package and his girlfriend hugs him with a evil smile on her face... *sigh* next time ;-))

  3. The scenario for my entry above is that there is a 16-year old teenager and his mom on the couch, and his mom hands him the big present. Excited, as he thinks it's a PS3 or an Xbox 360, opens the box to find out it's.... You have to see my entry above to find out what it is. His mom says, "Isn't it cute? I even pasted on your favorite character from when you were little! And look, it has holes on the top so you can tack it to the wall above the toilet!"
