It's been a long and busy year and I thought I would share my 2012 showreel with you guys.
(yes I use maya and mental ray for some foliage and stuff but the vast majority of my work stays in blender being the powerful modeling tool that it is)
Enjoy!
Next stop, Weta Digital!, maybe ;)

Nice reel Alex. Saw your post-apoc town in 3D World magazine. Whatever you're applying for I wish you all the best.
Great work!
I had to rewind the video and watch the first part with the mansion a second time to believe it was generated and not a photo.
Thanks :)
School finishes on tuesday so you'll be seeing the house and several other models up on blendswap if you wanted to take a look through them :)

Great work Alex !!
Great REEL. Loves the "house" at the beginning very natural. Hope to see more great work of you in 2013.
Now that's a showreel!
How did you do the muscles ??
These were done in maya muscle,
However they just automate a process that can be done in blender.
In bleder you create a NURBs sphere and stretch it between two joints, then you add a soft body sim to it and use a mesh deformer to have the mesh wrap around the muscle. It's actually quite easy, but needs a few hours of tweaking.

Thanks for feedback ,i was hoping there is an addon on blender for that .
Great work by the way
Oh and as a side note, I'll be uploading the beast to blendswap this week, I'll convert the maya muscle to poly spheres in blender and you're welcome to set up constraints and play around with a muscle rig :)
