I have a LONG history with Blender - I wrote some of the earliest Blender tutorials, worked for Not a Number and helped run the crowdfunding campaign that open sourced Blender (the first one on the internet!). I founded BlenderNation in 2006 and have been editing it every single day since then ;-) I also run the Blender Artists forum and I'm Head of Community at Sketchfab.

  1. I had no idea this had been done in Blender. :)

The song doesn't actually mention the Euro crisis specifically, by the way.

    VERSE 1
So many years studying to end up unemployed,
or in a crappy, badly paid job,
and get a tip they call salary.
I didn't the 'Sucker' college degree.
It's not the lack of effort.
They want to to "tighten the belt" but I don't even have pants.
The month is still halfway and I'm already ***
O Lord, you should have made me rich rather than handsome.

    CHORUS:
    It's Friday. (yeah)
I sweat the whole week. (yeah)
But I don't have a dime in my pocket.
Someone get me a good, good, good, good job.
    Now, now, now, now

    VERSE 2
They bury the country, the people stand.
    But someday the bubble bursts.
Mouth to mouth, in the social networks,
you hear truths that don't show in the papers.
    Having a car is impossible,
I sold it to buy fuel.
I have a Carris' [Lisbon's principal transportation company] pass,
but today they are on strike.
I need a lift, someone to take me.

    CHORUS (EXTENDED):
    It's Friday. (yeah)
I sweat the whole week. (yeah)
But I don't have a dime in my pocket.
Someone get me a good, good, good, good job.
    Now, now, now, now
    It's Friday (yeah)
    I want to go partying.
But I don't have a dime in my pocket.
Someone get me a good, good, good, good job.
    Now, now, now, now.

    VERSE 3
You just have to be honest I accept you offers.
Mom and pop are fed up with me,
where am I going to get money for rent?
I not able to even rent a tent.
And banks only lend to those who don't need,
to me don't even lend to me to change my shirt.
I'm going to bet on Euromillions to see if I can break the jinx,
(Today's Friday) I'm going to do that now.

    CHORUS
    It's Friday. (yeah)
I sweat the whole week. (yeah)
But I don't have a dime in my pocket.
Someone get me a good, good, good, good job.
    Now, now, now, now
    It's Friday (yeah)
    I want to go partying.
But I don't have a dime in my pocket.
Someone get me a good, good, good, good job.
    Now, now, now, now.

    Good, good, good, good,
    Now, now, now, now
    It's gotta be good. Now.

    • Lol, I wrote «The month is still halfway and I'm already ***», which
makes it sound like he was cursing, but actually I just wrote «***»
because I didn't know how to translate a word and I left it like that
for later, and then forgot about it.

What he says is something like "in a tight place", "stressed out", "in trouble", that sort of thing.

  2. Hey Pedro !
I saw the Video in the youtube before you posted here at BN, congratulations from Brazil for the very funny videoclip !

  3. Mouth to mouth, in the social networks,
you hear truths that don't show in the papers

This sounds like here in Poland. They (media) are in craze of Euro 2012 while people are falling into poverty.
