Fantastic test! Great potential here.
First i thought that it was a real Tornado, great yob!
Very cool
HOLY SMOKES!
fire tornado ? I hope we don't see that kind of tornado in the future! by the way great job!
fire tornados are real, look it up! i was actually surprised to see this in the newsfeed because i'm working on a show where we have to recreate a fire tornado!
do you know what causes them?
You can sometimes get one when cross-winds collide over an existing forest fire. Basically, it's a large dust devil on fire. More information here: http://video.nationalgeographic.com/video/news/environment-news/us-fire-tornado-vin/
thx. Now as you say it - i think i've seen one once in tv.
insane how far the Fire got sucked up.
Impressive!! Nice work!!
very nice !!!
DAM ! Very impressive, Blender really has lots and lots of potential....extremely well done. I can see some upset faces from Houdini users ! GREAT Example to show off Blender capabilities :)
Possible tutorial? :D
WOW!! Excellent job!! I was just wondering the other day if this was possible to make in blender!
Wow! Crazy Effect!
It looks better than the Twister movie.
And to thing that Autodesk was announcing smoke pluging that will cost $20k !!
AutoWho?
AutoDesk; it is some some of desk machination that renders you insane automaticaly. But then again this may be just a Maya legend.

Ha HA HAA!!! lol
Awesome!!!!! Blender rocks! (love the calm tranquil piano music in between!)
Hi! Well done! Ive tryed that a lot of times, too - but didnt got it :/ ... how did you do it :) ?
It seems the center is rotating in the wrong direction to pull the wood to the left?
Crap! I don't want to be there :D)) Looks really awesome!
Music track was picked up like a master, it gives some evil fun to this show...
Regular tornado my ass, that this is scary
Really awesome! I would like to read more details about it.
Really Impressive! Great job.
Really great animation work, and excellent sound track as well. I also watched some of your other videos... very well done, and some actually scary ! The one in the bath room gave me the goose bumps !o) Congratulations !
Wow. that's fantastic work, Tom! As usual, your work is awesome and inspiring!
'Elemental Twister'..the movie.
Very nice work!
I request a ice/snow twister, rock twister, and last but no least (my personal favorites), a bacon twister! Thx!
Very cool!!!! I am really interested in the scene setup (particles, forcefields, etc.) and smoke setup.
Thank you everyone, thanks to Blendernation and Bart for sharing this video here :)
I will release a tutorial very soon.
You have no idea how much I'm looking forwards to this! Great job :)
You forgot the water spout ;)
OMG Great work
TUTORIAL! YES!!.
Thank you in advance.
Great job. Waiting patiently for a tutorial.
Really, really nice work!!!
Amazing work Tom!!! i think what sells it isnt so much the tornado its self, its the environment, the rain, the camera movement, and everything else.
Great job, im looking forward to a tutorial.
I hate to have to take away from Toms amazing work.
However, all you people saying autodesk and houdini users will be upset... Houdini has a completely different workflow for creating effects like this. people use houdini and autodesk because they have much higher requirements than blender can provide. Blender is not aiming its self at the Feature film market of 100+ employs.
Blender is amazing, but please stop this blender snobbery of saying its taking over every other piece of software, because its not.
Wow Man, Any tuts ahead?
Very cool!
i'm running away, if that tornado picks me i'm dead!
Awesome. Really.
Awesome vid! Fire tornadoes FTW!
(But the other 2 'realistic' ones, don't really seem to blend into the surroundings, I mean, slightly other colour, and the sand tornado doesn't suck up the surrounding sand :(, okay it is ver hard to make, but still...)
Impressive!! Great job.
Looking forward to the tutorial
Thanks in advance!
Very, very nice result. How did you keep the funnel that stable? Is the tornado core mesh based with a volumetric material? Good job!
Dust devil.
