Damn! That's some *nice* BGE candy! Thanks for working on this Mokazon!
I still have a dream that one day we're going to get together a crack bunch of coders (think Mokazon, Moguri, Kupoman, Ideasman42, Benoit, Matinsh...) and an allstar team of artists (Carlos of Super Blender Galaxy, Haidme of Krum, Pablo from Yo Frankie etc) and get a kickstarter up to not just create a great BGE showcase game, but really improve the engine itself along the way, Blender open movie style. I'd be prepared to bet, if we looked at a decent 6 month salary for all of them and some money for the other parts (infrastructure etc) and put it on kickstarter, we'd get it funded in no time.
It feels like so much of the future of 3D is in games. I think if we could kick start the game engine (heck, or even GameKit) with a high caliber game the way that the open movies help kick the rest of blender into shape, that Blender as a whole would have a much brighter future.
Anyway, this is a great start, and I'm deeply grateful to Mokazon for making it happen. The area lights are particularly sexy!
Wowser! Man, this is great! I'm glad work is still being done on the BGE! I've been waiting for parallax mapping and Area lights for years! But the real-time SSS, volumetric lights and shadows, logic brick link highlighting, and composite nodes are just awesome! Thanks a million, Mokazon and Martinsh!
