Here's a nice timelapse of the modeling and texturing of an old gas pump from 1935. The result is available for download.

Having miserable weather here in in the Northeast (Snow...In October...In New York City...) so I figured I might take a break from all work and finish up a fun project from a while back. This is an old gas pump from 1935. Not so sure if the decals fit too well but reference images are hard to find.
Oh and I have a couple of time lapse videos of me modeling it. I don't have all of them unfortunately, recording became too tedious. Anyways, enjoy what i have.

That's some really good modeling! Enjoyed watching it a lot!
Looks fantastically realistic. Was it rendered with Blender Internal?
I love theses kind of project make the past come to life.

next time post your models on BlenderSwap, you'll find a better understanding
Nice model and great timelapse!
I think the comment about "freely give" was someone just stating in poor English that he made it in an open source software and should feel free to give freely. I believe the commenter misinterpreted the other two comments thinking they were insulting the modeler. They were, in actuality, complimenting him saying it was so good he should put a price on it. Well...maybe not the first comment. That person may very well be angry Max is giving away a really nice model for free while he's putting his stuff up for sale.
Anyway, great work!
yeah my bad, I'm realy sorry for those who likes this model free, what a misinterpreted
I went to read the comment and couldn't find any on turbosquid. But I did notice that there is now a $10 price on it.
There were some comments previously nagging about the $0,- price tag.
It's understandable (somehow...) I guess. They've probably been removed for whatever reason. At least the author now can make some money out of his work :)
Oh snap...I made it to BlenderNation? I just found this five minutes ago. Sorry about the thing with the price on the model...Yea I gave it a price because of all the complaining in the comments section, nothing at all to do with this story. From now on, if I make anything free, BlendSwap it is.
