Argentinean Blender users are having their own 2-day Blender conference this week!

For third consecutive year, the 14th and October 15th of the current, we present a new edition of "CheBlender", the annual meeting of Blender 3D users in Argentina.
Blender 3D, the renowned free software for 3D modeling and animation (as well as an engine for video games) is presented this year in its new version with features and interface renovated. There will be lecturers physically present and through videoconferencing. Will present lectures and gives workshops about character animation, modeling, infoarchitecture, script development, etc.

Che Guevara was a sick f#ck and a mass-murder. One of his favorite hobbies was to bring in the mother of the person he was going to execute, have her beg to have her son's life to be spared, and then he'd pick up the phone and tell his men to fire. He got his jollies off the pain and suffering of those women. It makes me sick to see these ignorant twits glorify him and use his image as a cultural and fashion statement.
@ ElPancho — Che was a COMMUNIST. Communists DID NOT or EVER HAD fought for FREEDOM. They fought for freedom to SUBJUGATE others. He more than qualifies to be in the same circle of villains such as Hitler. In fact, Che shared many of the Socialist beliefs that Hitler had. He was even as big a racist as Hitler. He referred to Mexicans as a bunch of illiterate indians.

Calm down, guys. Really. The CHE in the name it's not a reference to Che Guevara, but a reference to our daily language. I took this image because i think that this was about "joking" about Blender Revolution. No one here will take a gun nor anything like that. It's just plain and silly humour. Since it's an Argentinean conference, and Che was argentinean i thought it would be ok.
In that conference we will share, learn, see, and enjoy what we take there to do. So, please, it's just a joke. Sorry if someone feels bad about it, but i have the rights to take this as a joke. I have worked hard to get all this running, and i hope it will be great!
And please, read more history, because agree or not with his ideology and his ways, he was something more than a "cold murderer". Saying that is plain ignorance. ;)

Claudio, sorry for dissapoint you, but This blender conference IS ABOUT BLENDER and IS ABOUT OPEN SOURCE. If you don't like it, you always can organize your own conference. I really get pissed off by people that doesn't have any trace of sense of humour.

For me Guevara was not a "hot and sexy killer", i think it's a very stupid thought, indeed. And no, i don't wan't to celebrate Maradona either. I don't celebrate anything but the blender meeting, i realize that i was wrong in doing this graphic joke. You didn't get the point. I was busy trying to get places, graphic support, organizing people and lecturers, preparing workshops, communicating the event, and some other things to think that my graphic joke could start a stupid and pointless discussion. :( Really sad.
Aside from political/ideological considerations, I wish you a great meeting.

Hi ! my name is Lehn-hariher (nickname), i am brazilian and i now the history about Che Guevara, all of kind histories the U.S.A may say to make you belive is the minor and deturpaded par of the history.
He is not a killer, he is some one who want freedom for his people and engaged in a war, he have become impotant not by killing but for what he did to prevent many to die.(it's a war baby, people die)
Che guevara's face means revolution for the people who wants chages.

It seems the offence is not from the use of "Che" but the graphic that Suzanne looks like this guy who is also referred to as Che http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Che_Guevara. It would be like trying to claim a Swastika graphic with Suzanne with a Hitler moustache is actually referring to a Buddhist peace Swastika.

i'm proud to announce that CheBlender has finished without casualties, hurt people, nor guerrilla war.... Everything went very very well, two incredible days, lots of people showing, sharing and commenting their work, niiice and funny photos, and a huge hope of seeing again next year.
ps: suzzane now have a cowboy hat, and have cut of her moustache. ;)
