COOL!!!...and first!
Does blender have an official debian / ubuntu repository for builds?
Zweet! Just in time for SeaBUG too!
Wahoooooo !
Finally!
YES! Best birthday present ever!
Sweet!
Thank you and I like the new look of BN :D
I was hoping to see Tomato Branch included, but it's exciting just to have the release that marks the official end of the redesign upon us.
We are getting closer to blender 2.60 I just wish i knew had time to learn this wonderful program.
Lookin' tasty! I'm hoping the FFMPEG upgrade will get rid of sound sync issues I've had with Blender / Kdenlive in past. Lovin the new animation / node improvements. Go Blender!
a lot of stuff! gogogo!
I just wonder, what happen when it reach 3.0 ? what kind of super duper feature shall community have from this awesome free n open source software ?
Blender 3.0 is scheduled to have a telepathic interface and the famous 'Make Beautiful Animation' button!
I thought it was the spectacular button. http://blenderartists.org/forum/showthread.php?128645-How-to-get-a-breath-taking-render-every-time!&s=1b99421ea8df2873d6f12701a39c28f4
very great news! I have stop using blender for too long time (due my study) and this seem to be the best time to start it over again.
That's so great!!
How long will Blender Development keep going..? until version 3.0 or 5.0
I want to tell you the true. I love it!
it will go on forever :D
then I am going to be old man.
maybe teaching my grandchildren. lol
When I saw the new look for BN, I thought I clicked the wrong link! XD
Hehe :) And? Do you like it?
Thought so too.
But yes, it's so pretty :D
Big thanks for Jens Viebert for the OMP fix on OS X. !!!!
Thanks to everyone involved, 2 thumbs up on the new look.
when cycles will merge?
And early version of Cycles will first be seen in an official release at 2.61
That's december 2011
However, Cycles will be merged to trunk somewhere before the conference.

Does anyone have a hint how to set up and use the sequencer proxy properly. I did try but all I got was abut 3 low-res images for the whole clip and it wasn't exactly fast...

where can you download it from, cant see a link?
There's a link on the 2.60 release page, but I've added it to the post now as well. Enjoy!
Without B-Mesh? :(
Bmesh is comming somewhere in 2.6x
Probably 2.62
ops i mean "Without N-gons", not "B-Mesh" 8P
The handlers vector on F curves seems to be working erratically on this 2.6 RC1. Pressing V with one handler selected pops up the menu, then when choosing Vector, a big mess. It seems that it does not use the curve as a reference and only uses 90 degrees. Is there a new setting for this or is it a bug?
Any idea when Cycles will be included in the build? I don't want to use it until it's 'official' preferably.
2.61.
Read above.
Ah, coming December will be very exciting then!
Love the new site design. Downloading the OS X version to play... hoping one day Blender's viewport will allow viewing of all textures, regardless of being Unwrapped or not.
Shortcut displaying inside Blender for screencasting is just great!
Great news!
BN on mobile is awesome! Congrats admins!
Simply Thanks
I noticed there is now a speaker object available. Unfortunately I couldn't get it to work though in Ubuntu.
thanks Paulius Mscichauskas!
how do we report bugs? I went to the bug tracker and could not find a botton to submit a new bug.
Do here:
https://projects.blender.org/tracker/?func=browse&group_id=9&atid=498
There are 'log in' and 'new account' links at the top-right of the page.
I have just downloaded the archive of the win64 version, using the link you've provided, and get a 2.59.4 r40791 when unpacked and Blender launched, is it right ?
Marc: the speaker object is in, so this must be correct. Obviously the splash screen has not been updated.
@cameron : thanks for your reply. I'll check that sort of things the next time : see if new features reported in "Developer meeting notes" are available :)
