  1. Actually, the character made me think of The Polar Express more than a pixar film. Some will probably pick this apart and note various shortcomings in this movie, but for a one man project, I am very impressed. Well done.

  2. One thing that got me was the guys hair, his texture should have hair colour on the scalp to stop the hair from looking so thin. Otherwise very nice.

  3. The problem that really hit me was the fact that the central character wasn't acting in any way. It looks to me like there was no facial rigging. A little eyes dilating in shock, jaw dropping, frowning at "what's that" moments, etc., would have helped it immensely.

Still a pretty good job for a one-man operation.

  4. Thank your for your generous commendations, everyone. I'm George (Dong-hoon) Kim, the maker of the short film. Yes, I agree with everyone's comments above regarding its shortcomings. Yes, it has a lot of rooms for improvement, since it was made with the challenge deadline in mind. Thanks!

  5. Excellent work George. Don't be disheartened by any mentions of so-called shortcomings, i think everyone who's commented can agree this is a fantastic short. I probably learned more from your 'Making Of' than i did from 2 years of watching tuts. Keep it up! Just remember the shark in Jaws looked fake, it didn't stop Jaws from being one of the best films ever made.

  6. @Kev. Thank you for your comment. I think no one has left any 'disheartening' comments. They were objective observations that I totally agree with. I just did't have time to fix them to meet the deadline of the challenge. Making a totally convincing shot--even a few seconds long--can take days or even weeks. :)
