Blender at Swiss Summer Camp

1

Blender is part of the itinerary of a week-long summercamp "Passeport Vacances" for teenagers in Switserland. Alain Mathez reports.

Alain writes:

I co-organise a day dedicated to Blender for the children (13-16 years old) in Switzerland. This is the first time we do that. It is a part from a big event for children.

The principe is : for a low price, the children have to choose one or more activities in one week, when they have summer-holidays in school. They have to register, and the number of persons is limited. Other activities are for example : go with the postman, learn the name of the stars, climbing, ...

The name of this one week event is : "Passeport Vacances" (holliday passport).

So, this year is Blender in the list. Well, the description didn't say it's Blender, but I can confim it will be.

We can't offer more or free places, the reservations are closed ! But we are proud of it and maybe you could help us to share this feeling.

I have a LONG history with Blender - I wrote some of the earliest Blender tutorials, worked for Not a Number and helped run the crowdfunding campaign that open sourced Blender (the first one on the internet!). I founded BlenderNation in 2006 and have been editing it every single day since then ;-) I also run the Blender Artists forum and I'm Head of Community at Sketchfab.

Thats a great idea. I would love to do something similar to introduce 3D in My country too. Well done.
