I have a LONG history with Blender - I wrote some of the earliest Blender tutorials, worked for Not a Number and helped run the crowdfunding campaign that open sourced Blender (the first one on the internet!). I founded BlenderNation in 2006 and have been editing it every single day since then ;-) I also run the Blender Artists forum and I'm Head of Community at Sketchfab.

WOW! Great to see the blender foundation has got the financial resources to hire additional artists.
Like the animation bible 'Animator's survival kit' on the desk. Damn good reference book, and a new body from animation mentor.com. Go team Durian!
Congrats!
I look forward to seeing your contribution.
That is a thick monitor!!!
Another on... again.!!!
But what are the durian members doing?
Willl the durian projet use Blender 2.5 or 2.49?
Hello animator, Nice to meet you.
is he replacing Jean-Sebastien Guillemette?
At the blender sprint Ton let slip that he had sacked Jean-Sebastien Guillemette for showing off 'classified' images
:) maybe we will see some tutorials ?
:D
Welcome Beorn Leonard
Thanks all! I feel very lucky to be a part of this. I hope I can live up to expectations.
Mr X: No, I'm not replacing JS. (Look for future announcements). I'm here as an animator, JS has mainly been doing modelling.
JS hasn't been sacked, either.
back to work...
Awesome to see that Durian is going to have a strong story and a dedicated character animator to do the characters justice!
Can we see a showreel? :D
