YafaRay 0.1.2 Development branch (experimental)

yafray logoThe first development version of YaraRay 0.1.2 has been published, with some new features and fixes.

New features

  • Automatic thread detection.
  • IES lamps.
  • QT mouse control improved. Now you can pan, zoom, with the mouse on qt window.

Fixes

  • Several fixes in Materials: glossy, coated glossy and blend.
  • Integrators fixes: photonmap, pathtracing.
  • Light: background light refactor.
  • Qt relook and resize fixed.
  • Sun light.
  • faster maths.

      if there is something I would love, I would like for yafaray not make Blender unusable while I render, unless I just don’t know how to do this. Because with Lux once I start rendering I can continue working on my file I just reduce the number of threads Lux uses and am good to go. I should check this out.

      It is great to finally have IES lamp. Now, this will make Yafaray more suitable for accurate rendering of interior and architectural scenes.
