New site feature: edit your comments

Afbeelding 2Ever had that D’oh! feeling after making a mistake in a comment? You can now make changes to your comments for up to 15 minutes after posting them. Enjoy, and please let me know if there are any problems with it.

If you want to try it out, please feel free to post some crazy comments in this post ;-)

      @ijstaart: hmm no afraid not. While I try to look really cool by adding this feature to the site, it’s really just a WordPress plugin and I don’t want to start hacking that ;-)

      @greenboy: Check firewall settings for the BN website. Make sure it’s allowed in your cookies list both in the browser and your firewall (if it has one).

      There should be an automatic comment delete feature if all what it contains is anything of this (plus some special symbols):

      “1st”
      or similar.

      Hi,

      as far as I can tell, the problems are with registered users. The plugin’s author is aware of it and suggested turning off the time limit for registered users. A quick check shows that it works correctly. Please re-test!
