Jan Morgenstern’s biz trailer by Andy Goralczyk

jan-morgensternSo what happens when you combine a talented musician / composer with a talented 3D artist? I found myself playing this over and over again, several times!

Jan Morgenstern asked Andy Goralczyk to create a trailer for his  music production business in Blender.

Virtual Business Card from Jan Morgenstern on Vimeo. “The original plan was to use the trailer as an intro for my upcoming film demo reel, but I’m so excited about the way it turned out that I just can’t wait to share it. So, until I finish the editing for my demo reel, it will serve as sort of a virtual business card. I can’t thank Andy enough for doing this – the animation perfectly embodies the kind of boldness that I’m hoping to achieve with my music.” Jan

Jan music is cinematic and a delightful pleasure for the hears and Andy images match the sound like Lip Sync.
Loved the way Andy made the seamless transition between scenes :)

I’m totally blown away (might also have something to do with my speakers being at max volume, which I didn’t notice when I clicked the play button).

    That’s some great music.

Is there a way to get like, a HD version of this? I would love to have that as a screensaver or desktop “wallpaper” just playing in loop all day! :)

Great music, and animation. That sounds like a good idea for any creative freelancer – an ‘animated business card’

  • BonE

whew. intense :D….excellent music, showcases a pretty wide range of stuff…the animation becomes flat if you turn of the music though ;P

Aw, man, that’s just awesome, both visually and musically! I cannot wait till you score a hit TV show or feature film!

  • Tim

The start looks a bit like a BBC nature episode…very cool. I will say the ending labours slightly, would be nice to see sun move across the horizon into final position.

  • banor

Oooh, nice. The music adds a lot. Too bad the mountains aren’t LOTR-quality, but it’s still a good animation. Thanks a lot and good job, Andy and Jan!

I got chills watching and hearing that! Awesome job on both parties involved. Jan you are a great composer and so musically gifted. Andy is also a great modeler/animator and instructor. It’s nice to see such wonderful talent being combined. Just curious Jan, is there one instrument you favor using among all the rest? Myself- it’s the piano.
