Video: "Mikrobitus - Lovely Mama"

Leonardo Sala created a short video that made me smile on the early Saturday morning.

I've just completed my new animated short: "Mikrobitus - Lovely Mama" totally made with blender. The movie features strange nervous creatures acting in a minimal world. This is the pilot episode of a series of interstitial shorts, featuring the crazy adventures of little, nervous things in a minimal world. Totally made with the open source package Blender.

    Very cool. I love how effective this minimalist concept is at grabbing the eye. Great animation, too.

    How is this made? especially the main character which only has an outline…

    Some quick replies to some of your questions:
    Reynante Martinez
    Yes, the puffs are standard blender particles with a halo material
    Afief
    The main character is a slightly extruded plain 2D surface.
    I will probably release a making of (not in a short time though, 'cause I'm very busy now).

    The particle and hair effects are awesome! There doesn't seem to be much to this movie, but what is there is really high quality stuff. Great work!
