Endi2 has made a great trio of timelapses demonstrating sculpting a head, retopologizing the resulting mesh and the mesh with a normal map applied in a GLSL enabled 3D view. I found the head sculpting video particularly good. Really they were all great to watch. Find the videos here.

    Yeah, how DO you turn on this GLSL mode? I've checked all the 2.4.6 'View & Controls' settings and the 'System & OpenGL' settings and can't see it anywhere…

    Great video's. Very inspiring!
    I believe that the GLSL mde is not in 2.46. You can downlaod an apricot build from graphicall.org and try it out.

    Reaction: First of all you need Apricot build (check out from Apricot branch). After that you need to set GLSL on in the Game menu. After that it should work if 3D viewport draw type is set to Textured.

    I DID NOT KNOW THAT!!! GOOGLING NOW!!!

    Hey anyone got a link to how this is done?!!!!

    Yeah, I also didn't know Retopo Tool is such a nice thing… I always thought it's much more complicated and I tried to get some nice results with the "paint-mode" and trial and error, without success… that video opened my eyes :)
    So, thanx!

    @Dusty
    Just press the retopo button for the lowpoly mesh and it will "snap" to the other objects surface.
    If that was your question…

    This video is exactly what I've been looking for. Excellent stuff!

    This is a great new way of modeling! I hope to get a new computer soon so that I can sculpt at higher levels of detail to put it too good use, until then, I'll stick to poly modeling.
