Do they have enought seeders? I'm keen to seed! My ISP dont count uploads. XD

  6. 6 surt Edit Link

Gustav: everyone who's got the DVD can just download the torrent file and copy the files from the DVD for instant seeds. I certainly will.

  7. 7 wayne Edit Link

Wayne, You're not crazy. I saw your comment and then added the edit.

  11. 11 vilda Edit Link

sounds like you won't get the HD version over net, which isn't true I guess. But otherwise, I'm really looking forward to see it!

  12. 12 elliott Edit Link

    you ask about timezone?
    [UTC/GMT +2 hours] means east-europe.
    this means:
around 11 in Berlin, Paris, Rom
    around 10 in London.
    around 5 in New York.

  13. 13 Dusty Edit Link

    Great news!

    So…….

how down do you think the server will be with all of us loggin in? It could be a loooooong day! ;p

  14. 14 Alexander Ewering Edit Link

Would someone be able to check what happened to my order? I mean, I'm in Germany and it's really odd that I didn't get it yet, I assume… (I ordered far before the release)

  15. 15 Tom Edit Link

elliot: Its currently British summer time in the UK, which means we are at gmt+1, so that will be 11 in London. Doesn't matter to me of course, I already have the DVD. I just can't find the enterprise mushroom…

  16. 16 GustavTheMushroom Edit Link

Surt: What do you mean? They have the .avi's on the dvds? If not, you'd have to rip it. And then it all depends on what codec you used etc etc and then if the hash doesnt match it'll be one useless seed…

    Am I missing something?

  17. 17 Crouch Edit Link

Quick suggestion for blendernation: Put a digg link in the article tomorrow so there is one centralised story to dig. Should make it easier to get to the frontpage of that site.

  18. 18 surt Edit Link

Gustav: Yep, AVIs and OGGs are on the disks. ISO's should be identical too.

  19. 19 Schlops Edit Link

@intrr: Sitting here in germany, waiting for my DVD, too.

  20. 20 weidenfels Edit Link

Got mine here in Germany also much later than expected, on Tuesday 27th.
Looks that we are too close to Amsterdam to get it earlyer than those in Australia.

  21. 21 GustavTheMushroom Edit Link

    Surt:

Oh! Well that makes it nice and simple then! lol.

    Sweet….

Is it legal to Torrent the .iso? Just curious.

I will buy a copy soon. I just want it now. lol.

  22. 22 Loy Edit Link

Too bad i'll be at Pinkpop around that time. Watching Metallica and Rage against the Machine. The bunny will have to wait :-)

  23. 23 blenderman345 Edit Link

Hey, according to what I've heard there's supposed to be about 16 GB of data on the discs. Those of us who didn't buy the discs: How are WE gonna download 16 GB?!?!?!?!?!(Unless we download MB by MB which means we'll probably be sitting at our computer for 10,240 MB!(Okay, 100 MB at a time) :D

  24. 24 panzi Edit Link

Funny, I'm from Austria and got the DVD on the 23rd, much earlier then weidenfels from Germany. But Germany is nearer to Netherlands than Austria. (It shares a boarder, Austria doesn't.)

  25. 25 Mat Edit Link

Will the HD version not be available for download?

  26. 26 Greg M. Johsnon Edit Link

I just got that DVD case as pictured there in the mail yesterday. Q: Will the electronic release mentioned above contain the same data as is on the DVD's I got?

  27. 27 Jmh1 Edit Link

Vids have been up on Youtube for the past 2 days, but I'm still looking forward to the official release in all its Hi-Def glory :)

  28. 28 jayh Edit Link

I pre-ordered a long time ago but am still waiting here in the USA for my disc :(

  29. 29 Alexander Ewering Edit Link

Schlops: Funny, it arrived TODAY (Amsterdam -> Sundern = 8 days)… pretty descriptive of the current state of society that a letter needs 8 days for 300 km :)

  30. 30 Zimbloggy Edit Link

Will there be a torrent link on the website?

  31. 31 Gryphon Edit Link

    @blenderman345:
The DVDs are going to have all kinds of information on them, if I recall correctly. Multiple versions / resolutions of the movie, interviews, tutorials, blend files, etc. Probably tomorrow there'll be download links and torrents for each movie resolution (without the extras) on the Peach blog, like there used to be for Elephant's Dream on the <a href="http://www.orange.blender.org/" target="blank"Orange blog. No sixteen MB for us!

  32. 32 drmad Edit Link

It is time? What time is it there??? :-)

  33. 33 Socceroos Edit Link

I'm from Australia too (Tassie actually) and I haven't received my DVD either. I pre-ordered it yonks ago.

  34. 34 RH2 Edit Link

I should still buy the DVD…..
good job blender foundation…. Soon we will put Maya and Max out of business!

@intrr: Mine arrived yesterday, too. :)

  43. 43 DramaKing Edit Link

Huh, so it should be out already? I hope the BF found enough mirrors :) Of course a torrent would probably be slower, anyway.

  44. 44 Slurp Edit Link

    Sorry guys: I expected more!!
Some Details show that not every detail is 3D and the movie is a addition of a couple of people working on it.
    So its not homogen.

  45. 45 CGcrazy Edit Link

Blender is functionally probably state of the art.
    But BBB ist not!
When will Blender have artists working on it and not programmers??
