RenderMan tests with MOSAIC exporter

MOSAICA new version of the MOSAIC exporter script is coming, and to show what this new release will be able to do, a few test renders were published on the Blender Artists forums. And they are quite impressive!

The user WHiTeRaBBiT pots those renders as a test, and they were generated with 3Delight, Air, Aqsis and Pixie. The amount of details for each render is amazing! If you want to check out the images, visit this link.

    As a side-note: I did not know dinosaurs had ears, especialy the carnivor type

    I can't tell if it's a real dinosaur or a real model of a dinosaur, but either way it doesn't look like anything that came out of a computer! Beautiful photorealistic lighting.

    It is strange to me that Blender internal produced some aritifacts on normal maps!
    And in the case of Gelato there were some lines visible on the model, why?

    Nice renders - the micropoly displacement lacking from blender's internal renderer really shows though! I wonder what happened to that project? I know it was being worked on in SVN at one point!? :P

    http://www.blender.org is definitely not working for me either right now! But I heard it said somewhere that if you get error 500 on the Blender servers to wait for a bit and try again! Does seem strange that its been playing up recently though! :/ Maybe it's the time of day?…
