VDrift – Open Source Drift Racing Simulation
If you can’t hardly wait for the Apricot project, to see Blender used in a game production pipeline. There is a game project called VDrift, which uses Blender for the same purpose.
You can check out more about the project at the VDrift official web site. To find some models, used for the game, you can browse the user forums. Here is an example.

Seeing your own blender art come to life in a game brings a whole new level of enjoyment to modelling. If you’re into cars and want to give it a shot post on the vdrift forums. They’re very helpful and supportive.

I never could get VDrift to run on my computer! – didn’t know it was made using blender though – maybe I’ll try a bit harder next time I feel the urge to RACE! :P

The car I modeled is a ferrari 360 Modena. Currently I’m working on a 350zx and a new concept car
