Interactive Art: Bikatrope

Vince McKelvie has created an interactive art installation in which riding a bike drives an animation.

Vince writes:

Hi my name is Vince McKelvie, and I am an animation student at cal arts. I used Blender to create the images in my interactive art installation.

The spokes of the bike deteremine which side of the video plays. when the video flickers fast enough the two the viewer can see the relationship of the two videos.

I have a LONG history with Blender - I wrote some of the earliest Blender tutorials, worked for Not a Number and helped run the crowdfunding campaign that open sourced Blender (the first one on the internet!). I founded BlenderNation in 2006 and have been editing it every single day since then ;-) I also run the Blender Artists forum and I'm Community Lead at n8n.

sounds very similar to “the legible city” by Jerffery Shaw, still nice job and it proves that good idea’s never die just get reinvented :) good job, nice to see someone else tackling interface in an artistic way.
