Byron Kindig reports on the Blender classes that were recently held in Kingsport, Tenessee. He writes:
We had a great group of people attend. I put up a short page about last Saturday’s class at the Renaissance Center. Also the Kingsport Art Guild has approved more classes for January, February, and March. They will be weekly classes on Wednesday evenings from 6:30 to 8:30. I should have more information about these classes soon.
The winner of the 2007 Suzanne Awards for Best short film, called Night of the Living Dead Pixels was released for download. For this final version, the animation was improved with some better music and small errors fixed.

The 3DCreative magazine has published another great making of, for a scene created with Blender. Now the scene is part of their challenge “Stylized Animal”. An artist called Al-Haitham Jassar used Blender to create “The Croc”, and he won the second place for this challenge.

A new modeling system is in development for Blender, called B-Mesh. If you are curious about the new capabilities of the B-Mesh, ZanQdo was kind enough to produce a great video showing a preview of the system.
Now that the latest Mac OS X version is available, the question is if you should rush into upgrading or not. Will your system and applications continue to work? And, more importantly, will Blender continue to work?
