Making the Peach Movie Animatic with Sacha
Do you know what an animatic is? If you don`t know, let Sacha, from the Peach team tell you! In this interview started by Campbell Barton, Sacha tells us what an animatic is, and how they are managing the animatics for the Peach Movie.

Animatic I love learning new words and terms… but mostly new ways to solve problems without having to jump from one DCC tool to another and back again.
Sorry to say, but what Sacha showed in this interview was not an animatic at all.
Creating a timing for a movie by editing storyboard frames is called Storyreel !
Animatics
In animation and special effects work, the storyboarding stage may be followed by simplified mock-ups called “animatics” to give a better idea of how the scene will look and feel with motion and timing. At its simplest, an animatic is a series of still images edited together and displayed in sequence. More commonly, a rough dialogue and/or rough sound track is added to the sequence of still images (usually taken from a storyboard) to test whether the sound and images are working effectively together.
