Modeling a simple character follow-alongThe guys of Montage Studio just released another great video tutorial. This time the tutorial covers the basics of subdivision modeling, to create a simple character. Even for a basics tutorial, the video has some nice tips and tricks for this kind of modeling.

If you want to download the video, just visit this link. Look at the bottom of the page, for the link to download.

To download this video, you will have to use a Torrent Client, since a direct link for download isn`t available. So, don`t worry about server issues this time. And there is another important thing to say, the video is a Matroska container. If you have any trouble to run the video, you can find the proper Matroska codecs and filters here.

    @ Hykep.

I am using VLC media player. The video plays fine. No codec installation required. :)

    Hope that works?

    Great video tutorial too!

    Thanks!

@Hykep: yeah go for VLC, it'll play just about anything!

The model looks excellent! I would say that it would pass just about anything except production-quality standards.

The video is h.264 and audio is vorbis, both inside a matroska container.
Rather to suggest "codec matroska", what it is wrong, suggest opensource players which can play almost everything, almost everywhere for everyone.

    VideoLan (VLC), MPlayer.

    cheers

I have a hard time playing it as well. Tried VLC, media player classic, zoom player, windows media player and nothing works 100%. Tried with CCCP (the codecs) didn't work. Even converted the file with mediacoder to an divx avi file, it played but the sound was all out of sync and it stopped playing half way through.

Can be vista specific… Really liked his other tutorials and would love to have this one as well.
