Mathias is Born!

On Sunday afternoon at 13.49, my son Mathias Jorrit was born. Mother and child are doing great. I never knew you could be this happy and proud (and tired ;-).

I have a LONG history with Blender - I wrote some of the earliest Blender tutorials, worked for Not a Number and helped run the crowdfunding campaign that open sourced Blender (the first one on the internet!). I founded BlenderNation in 2006 and have been editing it every single day since then ;-) I also run the Blender Artists forum and I'm Community Lead at n8n.

Congratulations! Looks like you got some nice modeling skills, and the UV mapping is very realistic! Add some vector particles with hair strand rendering and you’ll be set! Looks like you’ll be cleaning up your .blend after some messy FluidSim tests. Should be as easy as Appending a new diaper object from the diaperbag.blend file. Just wait till more actions are added in the IPO’s for some awesome walkcycles, then some of your other scene elements will need to be edited for repair.

Way to go Mathias!
So you got yourself a set of parents: congratulations.
Just be patient as these take time to raise. Allow them to do their own mistakes.
When thing gets hairy just remember to look at those loving eyes and you’ll quickly feel again why it’s all worth it.
