This is the description of Adam Procter's short 'Doljer', which has been accepted into the UK filmvestival Filmstock in Luton.

Some of you may remember this post. It ended up being lost when we had some hosting issues. I'm reposting it for those that may have missed it and for reference for those that are interested.

The call for content for Issue # 13 of Blenderart magazine has begun. The next issue will be focused on "Fantasy". If you have a great image or tutorial, about Orcs, Dragons or anything related to Fantasy, this might be your chance to publish an article or image.

I can't get enough of the Node Editor. Today, we present a setup which will mix object materials based on boolean intersections. It's even got real math, too :)

So you never figured out the plot of Elephants Dream eh? Well, maybe you should think twice about watching Incongruitastic - a project by Jacob Kafka [WeirdHat]. It's easily the strangest but also most hilarious series of Blender animations I've ever seen.

Looking for cool organic Blender materials? Check out this thread on BlenderArtists.org. It's a golden oldie that started almost three years ago. It contains lots of samples and quite a few .blends for download. Some of these materials are not easy on the stomach if you just woke up which is a big compliment to the creators! ;-)

It is unfortunate that all submissions can't be accepted to the gallery and it is a tough task to try picking out a few of the very best submissions each month. However, here are a few tips that might help you get your work accepted:

The Italian animation studio Liquid Gate has produced a short leader animation for a major Italian Newspaper. It was part of their assessment of Blender in a production environment and it looks like Blender passed the test!
Did you like the article that compares Blender to other 3d apps? Well, there is another article that makes a comparison between Blender and other 3d applications.
A skybox is one of the most typical ways to create a sky for a game. A sky texture is mapped onto a large sphere or box, which then surrounds the game environment to provide the illusion of a sky and distant background. Skyboxes can, however, be a pain to make, requiring a lot of touchy manipulation and set up. With this tutorial, you'll learn how to use Blender to make fairly realistic skyboxes quickly and easily.
