The Making of “Night of the Cat”

Night of the CatAn artist called Cristian Mihaescu has created a really great image named Night of The Cat. This image was created with Blender, Gimp and Inkscape. And now we can check out some of the techniques used to create "Night of the Cat", since Mr.Mihaescu was invited by the guys at 3dtotal to write an article about it, for their 3dcreative magazine.

And guess what? The PDF is available for download! If you want to check out, this is a direct link for the article. The article has eight pages and four megabytes.

I remember seeing that after downloading the newest edition of 3dCreative recently and having one of those "Hey, that was made in Blender!" moments. Congratulations on the tutorial, Cristian Montambeault, and on the great image! :)

3dCreative is owned by 3dTotal? Hmm, I didn't know that.

    Wo!
There is some some serious confusion there!
I am Jean Montambeault, who proposed that Blendernation talked about the article.

The author of the article is Cristian Mihaescu, a.k.a. Criss on BlenderArtists, him and him only.

    Please un-fusion us…

    Thanks

Nice work. But where's the Cat? Or the Night?

The cat is on the hot tin roof where else and the night, in the eye of a cat.
