The theme for the next issue of Blenderart will be "Texturing". If you want to submit an article or some image for the gallery, it`s time to start thinking about that.
If you ever needed a good texture for a scene, you probably know that good texture library is very important for any 3d artist. Even if most professionals recommend not using pre-made textures, we need something to get started. A good place to get started with textures is a website called Texture Archive, which offers a lot of free textures.

David Revoy spotted a bunch of Blender screenshots in the French Microsoft knowledgebase (Babelfish translation). Nothing fancy, but enough to make me chuckle and hopefully you, too!
A very good video tutorial has been released by Montage Studio, showing the entire process for modeling a Lowpoly character with Blender, for using in game projects. The video has a total running time of approximately 50 min, and it`s in high quality 1024 x 768.

With the end of SIGGRAPH 2007, a lot of cool stuff related to the conference and contests are showing up in the web. A video about FJORG! was released last week, showing that some team was using Blender during the competition! Yes, besides all the resources available like Maya, 3ds max and XSI, it`s really good to see a team using Blender.
3Dconnexion, a Logitech company, has announced a public beta release of plug-ins that allow its line of 3D mice to support Blender.

Finding models to use in our scenes created in Blender sometimes may be a bit difficult, since most 3D libraries use the 3ds file format. When we import these models in Blender, in most cases we have to work with triangular faces and some other artifacts. But now there is a very good model library called Scopia`s resources, which is a 3D models library with models available in the ".blend" file format, and with textures!

Nathan of Project Peach is running a little experiment on the Peach Blog to investigate an idea for community involvement in the project. It's based on this tutorial on Pose to Pose animation by Keith Lango which you really should read if you haven't already.
Ton asked me to do a quick introduction video like he did of the one at the Blender Institute offices. A quick walk through the exhibit area from the entrance to the Blender exhibit. Also appearing is Roland Hess (Harkyman). I promised Ton that I'd publish this video first.
