Monster Truck sidescroller game in Blender

martinsh writes:

…[I] just finished this game at my spare time. This is very similar to my motocross sidescroller game. [The] goal is to get to [the] track’s other side.

Controls:smashnv3.jpg

Up/Down: drive forward/brake
Left/Right: torque chassis to left/right

Q/A: resize back wheel
W/S: resize front wheel
(hint: resizing the wheels helps when you get stuck)

martinsh also suggests:

…need to make more tracks.
Feel free to edit and make your own tracks.

      Intresting game. Havn’t been able to find out laws of phisics for a while, while studied track’s wheels tool :)
      Are there any finishing point? May be some animation with happy driver who survived for this time?

      Reminds me of Excite Bike. It’s kinda slow though. prolly just my computer. Very Fun though!

      I like it! I wish I could make a game like that.
      My computer sucks too bad to make any games. I can’t test them out because they run at like 5 fps.

      Too fun. Martinsh, I just tried out your motocross game when I went to your filespace but I topple over sideways the moment I start going forward. *confused*

      Anyways, your monster truck game is awesome. I’d like to see it go a step further with some add-ons and as a stand alone app.

      Since it’s 2D you could really do some kewl oldschool parallax backgrounds in almost no time! (I think some of the best ever was the Genesis/Megadrive game Ranger-X/Exranza)
